Healthy Communities depend on volunteers like you!
Neighbors Who Care invites you to enhance the quality of life of homebound elders in the greater Waltham, Massachusetts community by donating your time as a Volunteer.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with activities of daily living
- Transporting and escorting to medical and/or hospital appointments
- Friendly visiting
- Assisting with shopping and errands
- Telephone assistance
- Referring and connecting to community agencies and programs
- Assisting with reading and writing letters
Time Commitment
3-5 hours per month.
Qualifications
- Mature adult who is empathetic, compassionate, and able to get along and work with others
- Flexible, adaptible, and willing to learn
- Comfortable with sick, elderly, and disabled
